Kneeling in front the middle of the gym, senior Spencer Liu attacks a donut.
I took this photo at the winter pep assembly during the donut eating competition. I approached the competitors during this event for a better angle, so I was in the eye of the entire school.

Saluting, senior Natalie Fisher prepares to lead the marching band into the gym.
For this photo I was nearly under the bleachers, I had to move out of the way of the nearly 230 members in a narrow stretch of the gym. I was angled upwards, laying on the floor

Posing in front of the audience, senior Josiah Willis performs in the Orchestra's annual Spooktacular show.
I always enjoy using a 300 mm zoom lens at concerts, especially the Spooktacular. I was up at the top level of the auditorium aiming down.

Performing at the Gimmie awards, senior Bianca Bucholtz sasses senior Delayne Richie (who is also out of the shot.)
That same 300 mm zoom lens (thanks a lot, senior Lauren Bragg) helped me take this high quality shot that I am most proud of from this year.
Playing the guitar, senior Alisa Young performs at the Gimmie awards.
This shot is from high up under the purple gel lights of the Gimmies.

With her hands up, some cheerleader is held up by her teammates.
I took this on the main floor of the gym while the cheerleaders were performing during a pep assembly.
Way back at the beginning of the year I had the editorial board over to my house to draft the copy that would eventually go on the cover. I am extremely proud of this because of how well we all worked together and, while Emily and I were leading the conversation, I feel nobody was excluded from writing what would soon become an excellent piece of copy.
